Constructed of 16 ga. aluminum, the MODE Racing Intake Air Box consists of a one-piece surround, directional lid, and stainless fasteners that help reduce a loss of power due to unwanted heat being absorbed by your intake. Unlike some cold air intakes, which place the filter in the front fender, the MODE Racing design helps supply cool air through factory ducting, while eliminating the risk of water ingestion. This unit was designed specifically to work with the Cobb Tuning SF Intake and soon to be released MODE Racing Intake. Data has shown intake temperature drops of over 20 degrees compared to just running the Cobb Tuning SF intake without the air box.
